My memories of the Donovan's goes back to Woodbridge St in Cambridge and the big house where Nana and her son our Uncle Bill along with her brother Mike(our great uncle) and her sister Nonnie (our great aunt) lived on the second and third floors. In the downstairs apartment lived her son Joe and his wife Theresa and their son Michael. Uncle Mike kept a garden on the side of the house and I remember going from Medford on the bus to help by turning over the earth before planting season. I also went on occasion to do some odd jobs for nana like cleaning her windows. One day I went to look out the window but because it was so clean I didn't notice it wasn't open and put my head into it, breaking it. The only injury was to my pride. Nana was pretty deaf even with hearing aids and had little to say.
